Miranda Kerr; Muse
Supermodel / Fashionista / Mother
Her heart-shaped face, the charm that she exudes and her smile, that gorgeous smile. The way she looks at Flynn with such love and joy, like he's the most precious thing to her in this universe, how he is her entire existence. That confidence she has in herself when strutting down a runway, the way she carries herself when she walks into a room. It's the little things that make me love her so much, it's the little things that matter.

"Twirl for me" - Cinna, The Hunger Games
Received this lovely perfume as one of my christmas presents and it was certainly a lovely surprise. And the minute I saw it, the quotation above came to mind.
This fragrance’s fruity top notes sparkle with pink watermelon, blackberry, and red currant. Heart notes of fresh flowers take the next dance, including orange blossom, jasmine, and magnolia. The fragrance dries down to a base of luminous musks and a touch of a French macaroon – straight from the patisserie, of course.
– Kate Spade
This certainly describes the perfume to perfection, it's a nice, fun, flirty, floral perfume that every girl should have in their collection. It's a very subtle fragrance and is perfect for those days where you just want something simple yet something that makes you feel good about yourself. This fragrance is perfect for those individuals who dislike strong, overpowering scents. On the down side, this fragrance isn't all that memorable and isn't very unique, the scent is quite forgettable in comparison to the other fragrances that I own.
Do drop by the perfume counters to give it a whiff and let me know what you think! And do try it out if you like fruity-floral scents because I think that this will make a good day-to-day perfume.
Till next time,
Cheryl ∞

Confession #241212: I have such a huge obsession with high-low dresses and skirts
When I chanced upon this piece online I fell in love with it immediately. I know the high-low trend has been going around for quite a bit now and for some weird reason, I just can't seem to get enough of it. There's just something about how these high-low pieces make you look so ethereal and fairylike when you're walking in them that makes me fall for them every time. And this piece is in such a gorgeous shade of red (drools). This is such a perfect outfit for this Christmas season and I am absolutely in love with it!
Have yourself a great christmas everyone! ∞

Die Tomorrow

"Learn to count your blessings and always appreciate what you have in life, because you'll never know what tomorrow might bring."
The Christmas season never fails to bring out certain emotions in me. During this period of time, I'm always more appreciative of the people and things I have around me. It's not that I'm not appreciative of everything through out the rest of the year, but for me, December is always a season where I'd always have so much to give thanks for.
You know those people who live such fast-paced lives and are always busy with God-knows-what? Well, I'm one of those people. Thing is, when you live such a fast paced life, you don't have time to stop and smell the flowers, you just take a glance at them and move on. And so often at times, you just overlook all the little things in life that matter because you're so busy focusing on the other things that you are chasing after.
I don't know if all this emotion building up in me is because it's the end of the year and I'm looking back at how this year has been or if it's because of the whole end of the world thing (which I highly doubt so), but I feel so guilt-ridden. People always say that it's alright because it's human nature to chase after what we want in life and only to realize the value of things when we don't have them anymore. But I don't want to live like that, I want to be able to tell the people I have in my life that I love them when I can and not when they are gone. I want to live my life with the full knowledge of all the good things I have and be able to appreciate them and be happy and not chase after all the things that I do not have and feel so empty. Mahatma Ghandi once said, "Live as if you were to die tomorrow", who knows what tomorrow might bring? Who knows if there is even a tomorrow to begin with? This quote is more than living life while yelling "YOLO" at the top of your lungs and doing crazy things to try to live life to the fullest, but mostly to live in the moment. What would you do if it was your last day on earth? You wouldn't chase after the frivolous things in life, but instead you would tell those you love how much they mean to you, you would spend your time on meaningful things. To live life in such a way where you will have no regrets at the end of it all, that is of greatest importance.

Snapshots from a project that I'm currently working on
These snaps may not seem like much, but they are a result of many days of hard work. The early mornings, which are especially difficult for me because I am absolutely not a morning person, where I'd spend hours in the front yard taking test shots and figuring out if the lighting for that particular day is good enough, the time spent figuring out ways to photograph the products in order to bring them to life, the body aches I had after a long day spent in awkward positions trying to get the perfect angle in order to get good shots. But even after these long tiring days, when I look at these photos, I'm happy. These photographs, they aren't the best, there are probably a whole list of things that I could have done better, but I'm still happy. Some people look at my work and ask me if it was all worth it while others scoff at it and say it doesn't look like it took much effort, but irregardless of what they say, I'm still happy.
I'm happy because these are the fruits of my labor, the work of my hands and I take pride in them, no matter how flawed they may be. It's a beautiful thing to see the beauty in flaws and be able to embrace them. As in this world, so often at times, we chase after perfection only to realize that there is no such thing as the idea of perfection in itself is imperfect.
These photos are my pride and joy because there's beauty in imperfection.
For those who have been so supportive of me and giving me positive feedback on the photos and suggestions on how I can improve, I thank all of you immensely for the love and support! ♥
There is beauty in the brokenness .x
